Blindman School Sign.

Funded by the historical society, this sign was installed in August of 2025 thanks to Lacombe County in its original location from 1904 to 1948.

It is on the north edge of the Aspelund Road, west of Blackfalds on the SW quarter of section 18, just before Range Road 280.

This school district took its name from the river flowing just to the south.

Samuel Farewell was the first teacher.
